HI, i am Allyson Pielop Taylor and I have the great fortune of living with and loving some fantastic gentle giants: Leonbergers. My first leo, Aachen came to me over 14 years ago, and ever since, I have been hooked. I fell in love with this breed about 20 years ago. when I went to France to get a Kangal dog from Bonnie Blue Flag Kennel . Anne Huppel bred both kangals and Leos, This was my first contact with Leonbergers, and it was love at first sight.
My career as a Certified Nurse Midwife/ Nurse Practitioner keeps me busy with human birth and healthcare. The part of breeding Leos that I most embrace is the genetics. My goal is to build the best leo possible. I want to produce healthy dogs who live a long, happy life. Temperament of the parent dogs is vital, as well as the lineage. Of course, that being said, environment, nutrition and the training of leonbergers is essentional.
All of the recommended pre breeding testing is done on my dogs. Dogs that are to be bred all have CHIC numbers. Breeding is done in accordance with the Leonberger Club of America Standards and recommendations.
I have so many interests that keep me incredibly busy. I never understand people who say they don't have a hobby, as I have way too many! I have a hobby type farm, and have enjoyed a variety of animals through the years. Currently I have donkeys, chickens, and my beloved Leonbergers.
If you ever have questions about Leonbergers or want to come meet my pack, feel free to call me. We all love visitors!
My first Leo and Best friend Aachen.
